How do you know if your hen is egg bound?

I have a two hens that have what I would describe as being bloated stomachs. I'm worried that this could mean my hens are egg bound or another serious condition.

What are the symptoms of an egg bound hen?

What else could this be?

Have you separated them from the flock to see if they are laying? That's how you would know if they were eggbound.
