I know Im going to sound like a broken record here but I have no one else to ask. I have 7 eggs and I have had nothing but issues with them since I got them from a friend. She said all should be fertile because her hens are always with her roosters. Anyway some eggs were really big one I cant even see anything in it the shell is so thick, 3 others seems to have detached air sacs. I took care of them the way that was suggested on one of the forms and set the rest horizontally. Marked all the eggs and outlined air sacs. i have been turning them 3-5 times a day never leaving them on the same side 2 nights in a row. Temp and humidity have been between 99-100 and 35-48%. We should be on day 7 and they all look the same as day 2. Im thinking they were never fertilized but I also dont want to give up with out knowing for sure. Can anyone see anything I dont? One egg even seems to have something floating down the inside shell :/

They do all look pretty clear. Egg 5 I would question, but if there is no veining I wouldn't hold out hope there either.

x 2. They look like clears to me. Maybe not #1. However...

I much prefer to candle down into the air cell. If there are blood vessels, this helps illuminate them more clearly.

Thank you for your expert eyes! I will try re-candling eggs #2 and #5 from air sac up and see if anything looks different but they looked pretty empty to me when I candled them. I did turn them a nit to get different angels but I didn't want to move them to much in-case there was a babe growing inside. I didn't want to hurt them.

I just hid in my bathroom with no window and re-candled (I had to do it now because my hubs needed his high power flashlight for duty tonight) eggs 2 & 5 to be sure and they are clear too. Nothings a cooking :( I guess we will get more eggs and try again.

ig

Well, good luck on getting some good fertlie eggs this time!

Off topic, I just realized you have the same first and middle name of my little sister. I have always loved Amy Lynn as a name :)

My sister actually named me...lol My sibs are all WAYYYYY older than me and the second oldest swore I was going to be a girl, my mom insisted I was going to be a boy so she told my sister that if I was a girl she could name me...lol She lost.
