Leafy green are only good in small quantities, too many cause health issues, they block nutritionYes! I’ve been working on their yolk color since getting them as pullets! Feeding them green leafy vegetables as well as their feed. Thanks
False information. Why would you do that? MANY people here have noticed yolk color does have to do with nutrition. I'm not the only one who has noticed this. Many of us have carefully been watching this for years. And people have come here struggling to help their poultry.Yolk color has nothing to do with nutrition. Pale yolks are just as nutritious as darker yolks. The color comes from dyes in food they eat, carotenes. Carotenes can be found in many different foods that can eat. Some veggies like carrots or beets, green leafy veggies and other plants. Some chicken feed companies put marigold blossoms in their feed to add to the yolk color because people think the darker color of the yolks is desirable. I like that myself but I know that has nothing to do with nutrition, just aesthetics.
This is not false information, nor is Ridgerunner trying to mess up people's life.False information. Why would you do that? MANY people here have noticed yolk color does have to do with nutrition. I don't know why you'd put out false information. Do you realize how dangerous this is? What happens if this family is dependent on their farming to put food on their table and you've just messed that up. Have you thought about that?
