I just moved my hens to their new digs, and while one has totally figured out the new digs and is laying in the nesting box, the other has stopped laying and its now been 3-4 days. No, there are no eggs hidden away that cant be found. The 2nd hen also doesn't seem to have discovered the nesting area or doesn't like to go there. When do I know there is a problem? I really dont want to throw the old nest box, a converted doghouse, back into the new run as I want the hens to use the new nesting area in the new coop.

Sometimes the girls will go off lay when moved. Might mark a couple eggs with a pen (so you know they are not to be eaten) and place them in the new nest boxes. Will help the girls know that is a safe place for their eggs.
