How do you lower and higher humidity...

We have 3 incubators in my house, 2 of them [we made by ourselves] is great in keeping humidity but the 3rd; an LG still air, no fan [we order one though, it should be here soon] and no auto turner. once we got it to the perfect humidity but then i left the lid open a tiny bit for 8 hours and the humidity went to the 30's and we cannot get it back up!
help?

p.s. we ordered the LG incub. off ebay and let it set and get warmed up for a day; it was fine.

TO lower just take out a sponge if you use one and raise fill the sponge with water and replace it.

put more water in it and give it some time the humidity should go back up
