how do you prosses your birds without getting blood and guts all over

We just do one to three birds at a time. Because of the small volume, we just put the blood, feathers, and guts in our two regular compost bins. No problem so far...

It's not really too messy. Once you bleed out when you butcher them, there isn't much in the way of blood inside when you eviscerate them. The guts generally come out in one clump, or close together.

The bits here get thrown out back for the critters to eat.

thats exactly what I do when processing-get a rip roaring fire going before I start and then as I process everything goes in fire-I dont even have blood on me when done ( maybe a few drops on shoes) but its the easiest clean up ever

There is a NO BURN law in our county as I am sure there are others too. Have you also considered that with burning you are contributing to global warming ? Which I hear tell is a big NO NO !

Okay, I'm sure I'll get blasted for this, but I really don't know. Why can't the guts be thrown away in the garbage?

I could use a little global warming here...2nd week without getting above freezing.

Also my dogs love processing day. They clean up the excess parts with out contributing to global warming. I may have to rethink how I do clean up.

Better eat that chicken raw than!

One should never burn trash, I'll agree.... but leaves, wood, and chicken scraps.... no different from camping.

Not really garbage I want in the house and, if I put it out in the garage animals, like raccons, will get at it and make a mess. I really like burning, but if you can't bury it deep so the dogs don't dig it back up.
