ok. With bareback, you can feel the move of the horse and predict his next move. Ride as if you are in the saddle, just grip with your thighs.

What a beautiful horse ! Is it a Rocky Mountain ? I grew up riding bareback as we could not afford a saddle. It is still my favorite way to ride. You are SO connected with the horse. If the sweat on your jeans becomes a problem you can go to a bareback pad. Ride free !
I am so sorry to hear about your boy. I know exactly what you are going thru. I lost my old foundation Rocky Mountain mare a few weeks back. She was 28+ years old that I know of. She was caught off of a mountain top in Eastern Kentucky as a full grown mare, put undersaddle and certified as a Foundation Rocky Mountain Horse. She was 1 of 33 horses of old Kentucky Saddlestock out of the hills and hollers that started a new breed. I have 1 of her daughters and I see Bridget in her everyday. Just remember all the good times. And see him in his girls everyday. It will get better, one day a a time. PM me and tell me some stories about your Egypt. Maye Ride The Glide......Got Gait.....I Do.....Good Grief ! I thought I had a lot to feed. Sadly today I have one less. My 30 + yr. old Arab stallion went to pastures that are forever green today. I am heartbroken but I know it was the kindest thing I could do. I will miss him terribly. He was the sweetest, kindest, stallion you would ever want to meet. Always the perfect gentleman. If I may, I would later on like send you a copy of a horses prayer. But right now I have to go take care of the rest. A grade mare, two of Egypt's foals, now full grown mares, two mustangs, a burro, 3 dogs, 3 cats, and 12 chicks 3 1/2 mo. old. 5 Australorps, 4 R.R. 3 buffs ----- and a partridge in a pear tree. Enjoy your beautiful horses. Any other pictures ?
