How do you seperate broodies?

I managed to remove her with the nesting pad she was sitting on! It seems to be working so far. She's been in there for about 3 days now and is still being broody!

Okay, and now another issue

The hen I wanted to get eggs from is trying to go broody...

I could try to get some from my Wyandotte instead, but I'm not sure if they're fertilized (my roo is a silkie, so he's pretty small compared to her so...)

I've seen my roo try but I'm not sure if he's actually managed...?

You crack an egg and look for the bull's eye. If you see the bull's eye n that egg the others you don't crack should be fertile. This link shows you what you are looking for.

If the eggs aren't fertile, one option is to get eggs from someone that you know or near you who has a fertile flock, assuming you like the breeds that person has, and also that their flock is healthy and doesn't carry avian diseases transmitted through eggs.
