How do you sex chicks?

Can someone please tell me how to sex Plymouth Rock chicks? I am a real novice.

Hens will have much darker legs, and the spot on their head will be very small and will be a perfect circle

at a few days old you look at the ends of there feathers. even are male uneven are female. after a week or so its hard to tell.

No, only true for chicks from breeds that can be feather sexed.​

ok, thanks. obviously I have LOTS to learn. Reading these posts is really helping though. I like this site more, the more I use it.

Males are lighter. (in color)

What is the approx. hatch rate of fertile eggs? If I only want a couple in the end what's a safe number to go with? Thanks for the help with the sexing by the way.
