Hi everyone, I have started selling eggs locally here in Italy where I live and I've started to wonder if it's possible to selling hatching eggs internationally and what the rules are if possible? I have pure bred and BYM eggs in case if someone is wondering. Can eggs even survive the trip to the united states' or anywhere else? I have quail eggs if that works better travel wise? Can some answer my questions? Any answers or suggestions and any questions are very much appreciated.😁

As I understand it, it is near impossible to ship eggs into the US.

At the least, your flock would have to be certified disease free. The second issue would be transit time, even with express shipping options.

Ok, soo not to the US but possibly to the rest of the EU. I also learned that if you have less than 50 birds you don't need a permit in the EU when selling hatching eggs, but it is different for selling eating eggs and no one would care if it's just locally in the town I live in.

Buona fortuna 😉

I heard that being jostled can lower hatch rates, so you may have to consider that in shipping eggs far distances. Lots of folks do it, so there must be a method to prevent issues.
