How do you tell the difference between a Magpie and an Ancona?

I have a male and I was wondering how you tell the difference between the two breeds? I've been calling him a magpie, but both breeds look the same. Here he is:

My Anconas had spots not patches of chocolate and black. They also
were a little more rounded in body type. I think your pic is a magpie.

I got him at a farmers flea market. He was in a hutch with a lot of other chicks and they were all supposed to be runner X mallards. Turns out they weren't even from the same clutch. I got him and a female from the bin and the female is a blue swedish X mallard mix, but he looks full blooded.

Hes prob not pure brd he is prob just a mutt and resembles a magpie or ancona

I'm not convinced that he is a mutt. He doesn't have any Blue Swed or Rouen characteristics like the other, and he has the full look of a magpie. Can magpie covering completly cover the patter of the other parent?
