How do you tell the sex?

I always wish that I'm the second poster on a thread with this title. "How do you tell the sex?"

I always get the urge to say, "You look between the legs" or "You look up their vent".

With my luck, I'd do that for a first time poster.

If the comb is bigger and redder, it might be a roo.

If there are droppy saddle feathers, it might be a roo.

If the hackle feathers are long and pointy, it might be a roo.

If you hear the bird crow, it might be a roo.

If you see an egg next to it and it's alone, it's most likely a pullet.

I usually want to say if it lays an egg its a hen, if it crows its a roo....! after hatching out so many though, I am getting pretty good at guessing, especially how they stand and face off with each other like 2 juvenille roos acting tough! its funny!
