How do you tell your chickens apart??

I dont...Cnat tell them apart, except for Stumpy, who had all her toes bitten off by our old RIR when she was smaller...

I can tell most of mine apart but there are 3 FBCM girls that I can't seem to find a unique feature on! If I watch them for awhile I can see definite personality differences but first off I'm at a loss. So I call them the tripletts.

As said before there is a difference in the combs and feathers, but each of our girls has their own unique personality too. Helen got her name because she kept escaping from the younguns pen. Every time we put her back she would just jump right back out of jail and get into mischief like a felon, so she became Helen the felon. Bobbie likes to police everything and everyone. Rosie Red has a floppsy head (comb). Smokey runs so fast you would swear he leaves burn tracks, Curly Joe has a curly toe, Cassidy got injured when he was little and he would hop along beside me, so Hop along Cassidy......etc. Hope that helps you in choosing names.

I have Texas Reds & they all look pretty much alike. I do have a roo & he has a name & I also have one dominique pullet that has a name. Its simple I just say come on little babies & the whole flock comes running.

I have 8 RIRs, about 6 months old, and I really can't tell them apart. That's why they're all named "Henrietta." I've got Henrietta 1. Henrietta 2, and so on. When I'm in a hurry, like trying to get the last one into the run after some free range time, I just call them Number 7 or Number 8. Sort of like "Number 8, get your butt in here so I can close the run!"

I don't think I'll ever get chicks all the same again.

Haha! I have two silkies who are completly alike! But one will squawk if you squeeze her (loudmouth) and the other will sit still (cuddlebug, who i sold yesterday)
