How does a chick position itself in the egg? + Q

I have an egg hatching right now as we speak.

A little OEGB. It's so cute. But I'm looking at him and boy does he look like he's uncomfortable! His foot is stuck over his head and there's a toe, a beak, and what I think is a wing sticking out of the hole he's made. lol How are they positioned when they hatch? It's gotta be cramped in there. Come one little one, you can do it!

Also, it's been 24 hours since he made his first pip, should I worry? He's making an awful fuss in there!
