I cannot figure out how to work this, I've sent 2 emails with no response, I cannot post on the buy sell trade page. It says the thread is locked. I agreed to the rules. What am I doing wrong?

You might want to check the BST rules / instructions again, here. You have to have at least 20 posts. Sometimes even then the system doesn't recognize you right away.
 
Welcome to BYC. As flockwatcher has pointed out, there is a minimum posting requirement for advertising. Get your post count there, and all should work.
