How does the chikungunga virus affect my hens and eggs. All I here is people getting sick here in florida from that virus from mosquitos. Anybody heard anything about this. The county where I live uses chickens to test for mosquito born illnesses, I getting worried about nutty flock, I also raise quail.

There does not appear to be any information on the virus in chickens. In Africa, primates are an intermediary host, but the mosquito seems to prefer humans at this time.
There was a research paper from Thailand regarding deliberate infection of chicks, but I was unable to access. DEET, permethrin, long sleeves & pants seem to be the order of the day,
