Does it kill mites or just make them want to leave? I noticed a day after dosing everyone two birds who had mites on the tips of all their saddle and tail feathers. It looked as if the fowl mites where trying to get as far away from the skin as possible and still stay on the chicken. Don't blame them, it's about 10 degrees in the coop right now! Anyway I thought it just killed them but am wondering now.

Ivermectin's primary purpose is a wormer, secondary purpose as a miteacide. It is off label for use in chickens. Even though you treated your chickens with ivermectin for mites, what did you treat the inside of your coop with?

Right now I can't really treat the coop, it's about 14*F outside. Warm weather I clean out, shop vac, wash, bleach and spray with pyrethrum and then dust with DE.
