How does spangled work?

I have some spangled games. This would be called jubilee in orpingtons, or speckled sussex coloration. Not black spangles, but white. Wondering how it works genetically.

Spangling on games birds(Spangled OEG for example) are based on recessive mottling on a red enhanced wildtype background, so e+/e+, mo/mo, Mh/Mh(could be other red enhancers), s+/s+

I should have called it the mottled gene, sorry. I thought it was a recessive, but wasn't sure. Got a solid chick from a mottled red bred to a mottled black, that is what made me question it. Maybe she just needs to grow out, five weeks old now. She does have white wing feathers. Her brothers are black and white blotchy, getting little spots on their feathers, even have black spots on their yellow legs.

The two which I think are stags in front show definite mottling, what might be called exchequer, if they were leghorns. What I think is their sister, in the back, does show a white patch on her throat.
