How does the PI-24 egg turner work?

Hi there! I've gotten loads of really useful information from this website in the past, but now I decided to join because there's one thing that I just can't find anywhere online! It's to do with the PI-24 egg turner. I bought today a second hand incubator from a lady who told me there was an automatic egg turner in there, which I assumed would be easy to figure out. However, taking a closer look at it, I just don't understand it at all. I'd be grateful for any help

That spinning thing on the last picture goes into the small slot on that tray in picture 2, and it rolls the eggs that you put in the bigger slots as it turns.

Also, as you may have noticed already, you can adjust it to hold bigger and smaller eggs.

I have the 12 egg version ... worked fairly well ... i upgraded to brinsea octogon so i no longer use it ... there is another thread i started some years ago in reference to the 12 egg version that might be helpful !!!
