How early?

Hi! I hatched 16 chicks 5 weeks ago. I already have some suspected roosters. One is very friendly though, even tried to "mate" with my hand.

Have any of you ever had a 5 week old cockerel mature this early? He is an Ayam Cemani.

The smaller roos can mature more quickly, and yes, there are stories on here of 5 week olds starting to try and crow!

Aww, darn. I had hoped for some late maturing cockerels. He isn't unusually small, just normal.
