How exact is the hatching date

Is it possible that some of them were laid later and haven't been under the hen the full 25 days?

no we only have hens so we put eggs under her...they were all there at the same time

i just candled the eggs a couple minutes ago and i cant tell they have a reddish color and theres a big black thing....but i cant see anything other than that

My personal test is veins- can I see veins? An egg that is just about to hatch is pretty much all dark and can't see much inside.

hmmmm....i looked and im pretty sure that no babies are going to hatch...so i guess i will get rid of the eggs

Thanks sphinx u really helped from the pic off development on the chicks there hatching but on the wrong end ive read alot to help them out of the shell with out harming them

Iamso exited in about 10 days my geese eggs will hatch my goose is 3 yr old last year was devasted by red ants the almost ate her alive she kept tracking the eggs to get ants off no babies she sat for 3 more weeks with no eggs so I removed the nest she now has 12 under her I took 2 to see if I can hatch them and there developing nicely Iam hoping she will hatch her own clutch she sittin on or she have the 2 I hatch
