how exactly do you bath a chicken???

I love to give my chickens a bath. I use the kitchen sink, and fill it about 3 in. with warm water so their feet will soak. I use an organic liquid soap that we use as well, or if dirty, an organic dishwashing soap. The sprayer is warm and all of them have relaxed in their bath.

Like dogs, they have to be taught to listen and learn a routine, so sometimes there can be a struggle at first.

I wrap them up tight in a big towel and put them in a laundry basket in front of the pellet stove fan. They stay in there for as long as it take. I don't blow them dry. More often then not, they work out of the towel and sit on top of it in the warm stove air blast and the toasty flame for hours. I'm sure if they had thumbs, they would have a book and a glass of wine, the little snots.
