This egg is so dirty. I hope the chick will be ok.

I have a mother hen lined up for him .

I decided to try giving him to his original mother hen. I put him, along with his egg, under her tonight. She took to him enthusiastically, scooting him under her, and trilling to him. The brother seemed excited to see him also.

With older sibling. The size difference from new hatch to week old is very noticeable.

The black langshan hen is mom. The little legbar is just hanging with the family, because she loves the langshan hen, and her molt is making her miserable.
