I got some Guinea eggs from a friend to put in my incubator (which was already incubating a goose egg, lol) and he told my husband the eggs weren't all the same age. I got 6, and this one surprised me, it seems really far along?! I need to know how old it is, how long I have left, and any other tips you have, the other 5 are still on the "freshly laid" side! Thank you so much!!

Guineas take a bit longer than chicken eggs but comparing your eggs to pictures of developing chicken would give you an idea of how long... When you compare THIS egg you will not find a match. I'm quite sure the embryo has died.

Aw, darn.

how can you tell it died? I'm still learning so I want to know everything!

The air cell is too large. Veins should be visable near the edges of the air cell, and the line between the two areas is fuzzy and blurred.

Your egg should look more like this.

Thanks for the info! And yes I hope the others hatch too.
