So Yeah I was the one that had the araucana eggs shipped and none developed! I also had some black australorps sent at the same time and when they arrived all BUT 4 were smashed up and broke. I went ahead and put in the remaining 4 eggs. I looked at my calander today and its day 18 for them. I candled them today and 3/4 looked like at some point they had tried to develop. Not sure how far along, but pretty sure not doing anything any more. 1 however, is completely dark, except for an air sack. No beak in it yet, but it appears that its developed thus far. NOw the shell is brown so its hard to see if there was movement, but my golly it looks like one actually has made it this far. I realize it may not hatch still, but I had given up on those 4, but threw them in for good measure. My other black australorps that were sent as a replacement are on day 4 or 5 now.
My question is this. I do not have a hatcher or second incubator so now what. Should i turn my automatic turner off for this one egg and only hand turn the others until this other hatches? Or should i make a a hatcher?
Any advice would be appreciated!
