My rouen female just started laying, I cant try to hatch now because I have khaki campbell eggs in my incubator now that are to far ahead, but when they are done, can I try to hatch out a few of her? Or will it be two hard? Any thought on this?

Thanks!

Oh and I know they are fertile because I pened her up with my rouen drake so the babbies would be pure bred rouen.

Oh 1 more thing, how long do they need to ne laying to hatch their eggs?

I would really like to hatch some duck eggs this year, but I need to know how hard it is to winter them?

Penning the ducks so they will be pure does not garuntee fertility- for that you will have to test incubate- or break open eggs.

Hatching ducklings just prior too or at the start of winter is not ideal. Be patient and wait for spring is my advise. Loosing them would be sadness you can avoid.
