How has my rooster died

Hi

Im sort of new to owning chickens so i need help ive just gone out to lock up my chickens and ive found my rooster dead on the floor in the run with his feathers all over but he has no mark on him ive checked him theres no blood no sign of any animals getting in so im wondering if anyone knows or has an idea to how he couldve died.

Unless your run is covered, he may have been attacked by a hawk. They kill as much by impact as with their talons. Scattered feathers is pretty typical of a raptor attack.
