I've seen alot of posts around here of people trying to tell roosters in the first say 5 weeks. Seems its very hard to do with alot of breeds, and that got me to wondering since I ordered day olds and requested all pullets, how the hatcheries can do this right away when they are hatched when we can't figure it out at 5 weeks?????

Are they magic?

They either do vent or feather sexing. Vent sexing takes lots of skill, feather sexing takes setting up breeding pairs so you have slow feather mails with fast feather females.

they're a little more invasive.
