How high can chickens fly with wings cut????

Thank you all for your suggestions. I am going to try and find this netting that Skand suggested. All four of the new girls have gotten out as well as two of my older girls. I went out this morning and my two old girls were waiting at the gate and clucking at me to hurry up with breakfast. I opened the gait and in they went and stayed all day.
Yesterday I was able to get one of the new girls when she came back but have not seen any of the other three today. Hopefully they will came back. The one that I caught is in the quarantine pen with the roo I went back to the feed store to get. They are standard size red breasted old English game hens and I really would love to have them back.

Thinking the snow should fall through, not sure really, we just got ours up this spring, so our first winter with it. But we are also down here in west texas, so we won't see a whole lot of snow, some frost. I think if you get the heavier duty netting, it might handle better then the thinner stuff. Check and see if whatever netting you get, if it's rated for snow or ice.
