How high off floor POP door with deep litter method?

Need to know how high off the floor to make the opening. We plan to use the deep litter method and we dont want them dragging out all the shabings with them. Thanks

Mine is only lined up with the floor. But use a board (like a 6")across it to prevent the shavings from coming out with the chickens.

I'm doing 12" off the floor with a ramp up to it on the inside.. Shavings starting at 2" deep to a max litter depth of 10" deep in the main area, 12" deep under roosts via the drop floor.

As the litter builds up they won't need nor use a ramp as much, if at all to begin with.
