They should have bay eyes. But few do, and it's a small fault. Can anybody here fault my Cackle hatchery cockerel for me at about 5.5 months? Should even a black Am have a bay eye? His is dark.

I'm glad this was the right site because I was skeptical when I saw how perfect the photos were. I hope these turn out to be as nice as they look!Oh yeah that's the exact same add from the exact same website! They live in Germany and I live in Europe as well!
Thank you! I think so but I'm very prejudiced and WOEFULLY ignorant! He's gorgeous!!!
Oh thank you, that's good to know. I believe you are one of the few that could truly fault him accurately and harshly. Would you say he's "not bad for a hatchery chicken" or better or worse than that? Please be brutally honest. I need to know what I'm looking at. (Is it unreasonable for me to ask?) I mean, I want to breed him and I'd love to sell hatching eggs. I don't want to sell something that is a total detriment to the breed, you know? They should have bay eyes. But few do, and it's a small fault.
Oh thank you for that! That is a huge load off my mind. Like I said I'm a complete novice but I want to start with the best stock I can get my hands on. I'll be breeding blacks and ermines only as the mysteries of complex genetics escape me.To be perfectly honest, he looks quite good so far. Cackle's Ameraucanas are higher quality than most hatchery birds.
Honestly, me too, I'm still kinda new to the whole breeding to the SOP thing!Thank you! I think so but I'm very prejudiced and WOEFULLY ignorant!
You could always get him tested for blue egg genes if you're worried about egg color!Oh thank you, that's good to know.
