How hot is too hot for how long?

Don't worry, you are doing ok. Even though it drops when you open the incubator as long as your not in lockdown and none of your chicks have pipped or zipped, don't worry. The humidity will come back up and stabilize. I think of it this way, a broody gets off of her nest usually at least once a day to eat, drink and poop and she is not worried about the temp and humidity and when she get back on the nest everything stabilizes again. It takes quite awhile for the internal temp and humidity to change in the eggs. Keep the faith...
