Sorry I just saw your message, I should check more often I used a box that i no longer need, and I 3D printed that spinning rod.

clever attempt! Nice to see someone else actually trying to solve the problem. If it was made out of metal it might actually work. A lip needs added projecting inside the feeder to help slow down the feed raking and waste. Good try though, squirrels are tough to stop.

Good roosters . One day if I have a country side farm I will raise a few roosters too.

Mix hot chili peppers in with the feed. Birds can't taste it but squirrels/chipmunks/mice/rats can and learn not to eat from it.
I did that when I had my hens and I use crumbles. Worked better in the Fermented or just wet mash. I did have one hen that tried to eat Just the red bits.

Try keeping the hens out for a day and just fill the feeder with the hot pepper flakes and sprinkle on the ground... Might take a day or 2 to do this.
