how i water my flocks

hello there.

this may be pretty rigged.But i took an old plastic kiddie pool and use it as a pond for my pekin ducks.Also i use it for my chickens to drink out of.When you need to clean it just turn on the water for about 5 minutes and the old stuff washes out and clean stays in.Dont really need to clean it out but twice a week.Also i free range my chickens and ducks so i dont spend much on feed.just throw cracked corn out in the yard and they come running.Anyone else do this?

We have a kiddie pond for the ducks. The chickens do drink from it.

We clean it at least daily, and we have another clean water source intended for drinking.

That system would create one muddy mess at my coop. I have clay for soil and the water overflow would create a pretty big mud puddle. Plus I would need a 100 ft. hose. I am glad it is a simple solution for your needs.
