How important is light?

    My husband built me a henhouse that looks almost exactly like the one in the plans. The only difference is he changed it so that the roof is higher in the front, he put down plywood decking and then he shingled it. That way, he felt it was more waterproof, predator proof and would hold heat and also shade the chickens better. I tried to download pics. Haven't quite figured out how to transport my uploads to the messages. But you can see pics on my page. It is plently big enough for 12 nesting boxes, storage cans for food and a segregation area that I am currently using as a brooder. Good luck!
