How important is the little fan in the incubator?

I used a cooler and a light bulb. How important is a fan?

I have air holes.

Fan keeps the air temp. even through out the incubator.

With my experience, air fans have 0 importance to me. However, i also have a small enough incubator where the temp is the same throughout the entire incubator. I personally just find no need for them.

It really depends if you are using a thermostat, and if you are using a styro-foam incubator. The fan circulates the air, and keeps one spot in the incubator from getting really hot. In a Little Giant, or Hovabator, that uses the metal ring heating element, the fan isn't needed (AS MUCH)

But, in a homemade incubator, the fan is really needed.
