Is 12hour feed restriction good?

My cornish x are not as big as they should be and there on a 12 hour feed restiction.

What are the bad/good or not restricting feed intake?

"Should be" meaning compared to the ones you've raised in the past, or how you think they should be? They gain a lot towards the end. If it's your first batch, I wouldn't worry. If you've done them before and they're just going slower than normal, I'd just give them a little extra time.
