Yeah, it was kind of a crazy year and we got a little bit overstocked for this late in the season. It worked out, though, and we'll be going into this winter with our core group of sheep and be less stressed and won't have to throw all that hay at them and dealing with breeding groups and such (I have one set of related sheep atm, so that's a lot nicer to manage.)
I'm pretty much picking up the odd job here and there, but mastering my minimally employed skills for the next month or so until we get into more fall shearing. I'm pretty spoiled!
That's interesting that you have a monsoon season, I guess you are close enough to the gulf! We don't have too many established trees around us, it's mostly cleared out for pasture, but when we do plant them...

We are not great at keeping them watered enough until they are fully "weaned," I guess.
