I just put my turkey eggs in my incubator on Friday night, so I have a long time to wait. These are my first ever hatching eggs... it's a brand-new incubator, a Lyon TX-6. My 10-year-old son, bless his heart, was talking to my mother-in-law about all of our poultry plans, and apparently told her that we couldn't afford an incubator. Next thing you know, I get this really cool incubator in the mail. (Did I say "I" got this incubator in the mail? Mistake, it was addressed to my son!)

First thing I did was order up some Bourbon Red and White Holland hatch eggs from S and S... they were very safely packed and arrived promptly, and I got 4 extras--thanks Steve and Sharon!

you're going to have fun with it. I hate to the bearer of bad news

but hatching eggs is an addiction and I love my turkeys....enjoy

Twenty one more last night! Now I'm up to 34. Turning out to be a good hatch season so far. Hope it continues!

Right now i have a blue slate that started on friday and i have 9 eggs (7 caclico 2 blue slate or BR x slate? due may 7th the hen is due may 26th i think.
