How long a laying strike is normal after a move? We got 3 new ducks on Saturday (a 1 year old blue swede/ancona mix and 2 1 1/2 year old buffs) and she said all 3 have been laying. Sunday we had 1 green and 1 white egg, Monday we had 1 green and 1 white, Tuesday we had 1 green, and today 1 white.

Normal? Or is it because they're not getting what they need?

We've been feeding Flock Raiser and they have access to sand/grit.

Thanks!

CHICKENS ARE UNPREDICTABLE ANY THING CAN MAKE THEM STOP. MINE STOPPED AFTER A STORM BUT KEPT LAYING AFTER A PREDATOR ATTACK THAT KILLED SEVERAL. YOU JUST NEVER KNOW. I THINK EVERY THING FOR YOU IS NORMAL.

When we moved, my call duck didn't lay for two weeks or more. I kept giving her oyster shell and she kept eating it, and eventually she started laying like normal again. Which, for her, means plopping out an egg and then walking away, totally ignoring it like nothing ever happened.

haha - thanks! We got another egg randomly late afternoon yesterday - I think they're a little confused :0)
