We purchased 2 embden geese tonight. According to the previous owners both have been laying and with an embden gander. Judging by the missing feathers on the back of their head, they were both being bred. Assuming they continue to lay, for approximately how many days might we be getting fertile eggs?

I have heard up to 30 days with geese BUT thats what I have HEARD I have no personal experience with taking hens away from ganders cuz my hens are always with a gander. So I can't gurantee that info.

I really wanted to know the answer to this so I did a google search. What I found was under artificial insemination, but seems like it would be true with natural breeding as well, don't you think?

If you scroll all the way down the page it is under artificial insemination:
Females lay fertile eggs 3 days after insemination and will continue to lay fertile eggs up until 10 days after insemination.
