Shirts n paramount summed up good with hocum. my different pigeon breeds, with exception of oriental rollers that took a year to lay, and parlors that took only three months to lay, rest layed at six months, then when squeakers are two weeks lay again, and then again when those are two weeks after hatch, and so on and so on.. your birds won't burn out if fed decent n let get enough exercise, that a forty by forty by forty cage/area per each breeding pair, will provide (for one adult pair and two pairs of young before totally fledge), with one nest in each back corner, which will stop problems breeding/rearing etc of birds.
