I had to take some eggs from my silkie hens outside because they had a seriously staggered hatch. Anyway, one hatched right away and I was able to bring him back outside with his moms (lol) but the others are all different stages.
Question: One has internally pipped 36 hours ago...and still has not externally pipped? Could this be normal. I keep waiting for that external pip, but nothing. I fear he is disoriented in his shell or humidity is much different from his outdoor incubating with mom causing him to not be able to hatch correctly. I only know what is going on because of turning the other eggs, which are in default lockdown at 70% humidity because of this guy---who I thought would have hatched yesterday!
