How long (after introducing pullets) until I can expect eggs again from the current flock?

Hello! We just introduced two 8-week old pullets to our current flock. Our current hens (all but one) stopped laying, which I’ve read is normal to have happen when new girls are introduced. Can anyone tell me about how long that the decrease in egg production will last? Just curious (and also planning for my grocery list if we’re going to be down on eggs)!

They all seem to be getting along well. The two newbies like to stick together but nobody seems to be doing any bullying.

Hi! They free range our backyard which has lots to choose from, but is still pretty small. The older birds are 8 months old and they typically laid almost every day. We live on an island off the coast of New Jersey where it is an average of 75° this time of year.

If you have a run I'd confine them for a week or so to get them back into the habit of laying in the coop nests.
