How long after peeping

I know this has been beat to death......
How long can they peep before pipping?
I guess I am so afraid they will peep peep peep and die before they pip. I don't know how long they can live on the air in the egg.
Someone must have an answer......

You're too funny, Karen! I don't usually hear much peeping before the pipping, but if I remember, the first hatch I ever had, after I heard peeping coming from the bator, it was a couple of hours till she pipped.

i heard peeps last night and they started hatching about noon today,there was pips when got up at 7:30
