How Long After "Squatting" Will a Pullet Lay?

So, around a month ago, I noticed that our white Leghorn started doing the "squat" pullets would do when they've reached or are reaching maturity and are close to laying. She's 5 months old as of now. How long will it be until she starts laying?

Generally they can squat up to a month before. Do they free range? Some are good at making hidden nests, otherwise I'm sure she should be starting soon as leghorns generally start at 4-5 months. Is her comb big red and floppy?

Her comb is still growing and turning red. No, we normally keep them in their run, and on the occasion that we do let them out into the yard, I'm always watching them (since we have some coyotes and hawks in the area)

This time of year pullets mature more slowly. I'm sure she will start within the next month. Keep them on a grower as switching to a lower protein layer too soon can slow down maturity.
