We were evacuated for wildfire in Texas and had to leave 11 hens behind. We were gone for 6 days but they had plenty of water and feed. That was 2 weeks and still no eggs from any of them. I think we had lots of low flying helicopters dropping water about 1/2 mile away and a DC10 flying low dropping fire retardant so I'm sure they were freaking out. We have never had a problem like this before. On the brighter side, one of the hens was sitting on eggs when we left and hatched two beautiful little babies while we were gone, they are named Blaze and Wildfire
Thanks for anyones ideas on how I can help them get back to normal.
