How long are eggs good for ??

We are brand new to chickens & one of my sons chickens just laid their 1st egg ... we are wondering how long the eggs stay good (should we date the egg(s) and throw them out after a certain amount of time? Thanks for any help

Without refrigeration they are good for 2-3 days. With refrigeration they are good for up to a month. Bad eggs could go to your chickens so you'll not waste them.

Eggs from the store are a month or more old.. (Yummy!) So, depending on how much of an egg-eating family you are, they should be eaten before they get old.
