How long are eggs good?

How long can you store silkie eggs that you want to hatch? I have them point down in cool dark place.

Chicken eggs are chicken eggs regardless of breed.
A week to 10 days. They start losing viability after a week. Over 10 days, hatchability drops rapidly.
They need to be turned at least a couple times a day during storage. So they need to be on their side rather than pointy end down. If you plan on storing a long time, fat end down may buy you some time.
A cool place about 50-60F is good but a humid place for storage is preferable as well.

If stored in a wine cooler they can maintain fertility for 2 weeks with minimal effects on fertility.
