Hen is on her eggs doing a great job! Day 7 today. Once she has her peeps ( I will let her keep them /raise them.) What age will the peeps be before she isn't interested in being a Mom and goes back to being a laying hen??? Or do I need to break the cycle by putting them later in a growing pen? Will she naturally start laying when they get to be a few months old? weeks? (her peeps?) Am excited about her hatching her eggs. But I do sell my surplus eggs to help defer the cost of grain. So just curious as she is a double yoker producer and lays nearly every day.

Once they get about six weeks she will probably stop mothering them and usually about a week later she will start laying, but it can vary. You might could get her to start laying sooner if you separate them once the chicks don't need her but I've never tried it.
